Sixty-two years ago Mazuma opened our doors as a depository for Kansas City federal employees. Since then, we’ve grown a lot and expanded our membership to include most of the Kansas City area. In 1998, we changed our name to Mazuma Credit Union.
Over the years, a lot of people have asked us what “Mazuma” stands for. Unless you speak Yiddish, you may have a tough time knowing its meaning. It’s translated as “cash” or “money”. Pretty fitting, huh? Here’s what else we stand for:
